Today it’s Sílvia Lozano‘s turn, a legal advisor. One of her clients challenged her to create a more agile platform to help her company in labor management. From there began the NOMINAE project, which introduces an automated solution based on precision (software technology), humanity (inclusion of people in diverse work and personal situations) and scalability (specialization in SMEs, subscription, direct sales and channel). Still in the process of creation, we hope to see the platform very soon.

It’s been a while since I last remembered my dreams. I’m one of those people who goes into a deep sleep and wakes up not knowing who I am or what day it is.
Sometimes I think about daily situations that have made me feel good. For example, a pleasant chat, a nice gesture, a kind act…
Nature, animals and people are full of improvised, spontaneous and natural gestures that are beautiful. A person who gives you a smile, a look or a spontaneous gesture, generous…The beauty of nature that appears as if it were improvised. The naturalness with which animals show you their instincts and desires, for example, a cat that stands in front of you and shows you its belly because it wants you to caress it at that precise moment and the face of spontaneous pleasure, without control…
I understand it as a temporary and uncontrollable feeling that depends on the approach and vision I have to each situation I live. I also believe that it can be closely related to what you give the most than what you receive. There is no external factor as to where I can find happiness and I do believe that with a generous vision many external, simple and daily situations can improve and increase that feeling.
NOMINAE is a project focused on the automation of labor management. My profession, like many others, has been greatly affected by the pandemic. The legal-labor management is currently quite complex from a technical point of view and from a workload point of view. This situation generates errors in management and an overload of work for managers, which we believe can be improved by automating work processes.
To give an example, I have been a labor manager for 18 years and when the pandemic began I had to work very long hours of 16 hours and sometimes more, in order to manage all the procedures required by the situation. We were faced with constant changes in management, with no time to adapt to these changes and no time to make the necessary investment to improve processes. The pandemic brought to light that this is a sector with archaic management processes that urgently require improvement. Currently, despite not being in a pandemic situation, there is still a need for automation and improvement in the sector due to the complexity of the management derived from the new reality that the pandemic has left us.
NOMINAE introduces a solution based on precision (software technology), humanity (inclusion of people in diverse work and personal situations) and scalability (specialization in SMEs, subscription, direct sales and channel). It relies on the collaboration of business people and entrepreneurs with expertise in tax and commercial law, legal-labor management and IT.
If it touches me on a personal level? Of course it does. We are all affected. Me and my colleagues, because it is necessary to streamline procedures, reduce errors and avoid this overload of work. For the employees, they all want their pay slips to be correct and error-free. To the companies, they want effectiveness and speed.

Yes, I think it is part of my personality and education, although I have spent many years managing labor departments with an employment contract.
Necessity forced me to become an entrepreneur. I had been managing the labor department of a consulting firm for 8 years and the idea of becoming self-employed and putting together my own client network was in my head. I looked for a 4-hour job in a labor department so as not to be left without income while I started my own activity. During this period, a close family member fell ill and I was unable to keep my schedule. I had to resign and was left without income. I had to be with whom I had to be, where I had to be and when I had to be. This pushed me to search intensively for clients. I had no choice but to start a business, so I set up my office in the waiting room of the San Pablo Hospital. My first office and my beginnings. Within a month, I gained an interesting portfolio of clients.
Among those collaborators, I am always very grateful for the trust and support of the whole team of Toni Prat from Broseta Abogados de Barcelona, Manuela from Lungomare, Vero my friend…along the overwhelming intelligence of Nacho Lafuente, the brilliant business vision of Albert Pradell and my right hands, Paola and Àngels, have helped me to get started on this new project, the result of an existing need and to provide a differential value as one of the greats advised me in his day. We are at the beginning and there is still a long way to go and a lot of difficulties to solve, but I am enjoying it.
